Who we see

Small companion animals

Dogs, cats, rabbits and other small furry pets from the day we open. If you are not sure whether we can see your pet, telephone and ask. We would rather tell you straight away.

Where to start

What is worrying you?

Six of the things we can do from the day we open, entered by whatever brought you here. Every one of them starts with a proper look at your pet.

  • Consultation and examination

A thorough clinical examination of your pet by the team. We will tell you what we find, what we think, and what the choices are.

    More about consultations

  • Surgery, here in the building

Dr Rav is a keen surgeon and has thousands of procedures under his belt. Operations happen in-house using gold standard anaesthetic procedures, under the supervision of the same vet who examined your pet. We also have certificate holder surgeons visiting the clinic to perform operations.

    More about surgery

  • Internal medicine cases

The cases that need working through rather than a quick answer. It is the part of the job Dr Rav particularly enjoys, alongside surgery.

  • In-house laboratory tests

We run laboratory tests here in the building rather than sending everything away.

    More about our laboratory

  • Patients who stay in with us

Some pets need to stay with us for a while. We have the space and the nursing to do it: feeding, grooming, fluids, and someone keeping an eye on them.

  • Post-operative care and feeding

What to do when you get home, what to watch for, and what to feed. Most of what goes wrong afterwards is avoidable if somebody tells you what to expect.

    More about after-care

Nothing on this page is advice about your own pet. For that we need to see them.

Facilities

  • In-house laboratory

We also have a dedicated in-house laboratory equipped with the same advanced machines used in reference laboratories, which ensures the most accurate results, along with a high-definition trinocular microscope.

  • Digital radiography

Our surgery is equipped with digital radiography, which provides high-quality images that allow us to diagnose subtle changes in bones and surrounding tissues.

  • Operating theatre

A state-of-the-art operating theatre was designed to meet the highest standards for patient safety, enabling us to perform advanced surgical procedures.

  • Dental unit

We also have a dedicated dental unit, scaler and dental instruments meticulously engineered with high grade materials.

Why Dr Rav is doing this

“Sensible, transparent advice, free from financial targets.”

Dr Rav Bhullar BVSc&AH, MRCVS, Official Veterinarian and veterinary surgeon

That is how Dr Rav has practised since 1996, and it is the reason he is opening his own clinic in the place he has lived for years. No group, no shareholders, nobody setting him a number to hit.

Credentials

Three things you can check before you trust us with your pet

  • On a public register

Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons

    Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons

    Reference 6126141

    What that means for you

Every vet in the UK has to be on this register to practise at all. Ours has been on it since 24 July 1996. Type the reference into the RCVS's own search and read it back.

  • Experience

Almost every job there is in veterinary practice

Assistant, associate, head vet, clinical director, senior partner

    What that means for you

Two of those decades were spent in a large multi-vet companion-animal practice in Hampshire. It means the vet examining your pet has seen the thing in front of them before.

  • Ownership

    Independently owned

    No group, no shareholders

    What that means for you

The person who owns this practice works in it, and you can speak to him directly. There is no target set for us and no head office to refer a decision to.

We are not in the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, so you will not see an accreditation badge on this website. We would rather show you a register entry you can check than a logo you cannot.
